Weeks later, near Eater...
A wormhole opened up on the planet's surface and out of it came a group of six creatures, among them a rocky-looking woman, black as coal. She stopped there, feeling the traces of her envoys, but also of her enemy.
Undar!
Qhava's obsidian eyes shone with malice, sensing her target's recent passage through this planet. "He's not far away. His trail on this planet is months at most," she said to her group, a smile modulating on her poisonous lips.
Unlike Minos, who needed to travel by spaceship or through wormholes created by others, Qhava, a high-level True Celestial, didn't need the same. Consequently, her speed was several times faster than his and she could travel great distances that would have taken Minos' group years in just a few months.
"What should we do, master?" One of the beings accompanying her on the hunt asked.
"Let's check out how far he's gone in this little shifter and find out what he's up to," she said as she looked around, seeing the direction in which Minos' tracks indicated the places he had gone.
Because of the connection that still existed between them, Qhava could clearly see his tracks, even though Minos was really formidable and she couldn't see his current position.
But that wasn't the only reason for her not to go directly against him now. Qhava didn't underestimate the figure of Devdar and the influence of this Entitled Deity on Minos. She was genuinely curious about his plans and what he had done in Eater.
So their group moved on, with local living dead rising from the underground to help them on their journey.Qhava wasn't at all worried about her target slipping out of her grasp in the time it took her to find what she wanted locally. Given the differences in their cultivation, she was confident that she could reach him in a few more weeks!
'Undar, you won't get much further. Enjoy your last days of peace!' she thought as darkness left her body and corrupted the places she passed.
...
Meanwhile, in Tanus...
Minos and his group had gone deep into their search and achieved great results. After just a few weeks on this high-level planet, they managed to recover the previous necklace that Minos had added to his high-value belongings. In addition, they found the clues to where the current residence of the descendants of the legendary 'King of Beasts' was!
Now the group was reaching the territory where their information indicated the family of the 'King of Beasts' was exiled.
In the distance, they could see a large mountain formation where a forest rich in energy and laws spread across the bases of the mountains, which were extremely rocky with frozen tops.
The contrast between the base of the mountains and their tops was striking, capable of making even the Supremes feel the effects of the climate.
Minos and his group were not surprised that this place had been chosen by beings in exile, hiding from the many enemies who would surely hunt them down for the legacy of the 'King of Beasts'. Luckily for them and unluckily for the family, Minos, and his women had many unconventional abilities that made it easier to get information. Ɽá𐌽ȰBËš
Abby could control the nervous system of their enemies and they could all revive individuals who had died and had not yet been reincarnated. Minos could distinguish truth from lies and, with his premonitory abilities, confirming certain information was relatively simple for him.
So, they moved on through the region's forest base, heading for the distinctive magical float they had been following for the last few days.
"We're not far," said one of the Hell Lifelings at the head of the group, with Minos and his women in the middle of the formation moving quickly through the area.
They spotted several local native 12th stage creatures on their way, something common to find on high-level worlds.
Being common didn't mean abundance, however. While it was normal to find a few dozen Supremes in the middle and even wealthy areas of this great world, it wasn't common to find hundreds of Supremes in a single area. Places like that even existed, from what they had heard, but they were rare, with only 10 such places in the whole of Tanus.
As for Celestials, in most parts of the planet, it would be very difficult to find specialists at this level. But coming across one or the other traveling or even a few of them standing still in an important area were normal occurrences.
Seeing no Celestials in their path, they hurried on, taking no notice of the creatures avoiding them on their way to where the Nautilus Compass was taking them.
After a few minutes, the group slowed down their movement, spotting not far from them caves with formations around them, with clearly artificial structures masking the place.
If one didn't observe carefully and aim to find traces of hidden communities, it would be difficult even for high-level Supremes to notice the artifices used by those responsible for these tricks.
Minos narrowed his eyes, using his visual ability to see through his opponents' trickery. "There's a level 125 Celestial up ahead. I believe he's part of the 'King of Beasts' group of familiar exiles." He showed for the group to stop as he felt the strength of that 13th stage creature that wasn't a True Celestial.
After his group stopped, the Celestial standing guard in front of them noticed the presence of this group looking in his direction.
Minos then took the lead, approaching the expert and preparing to act. Fortunately for him, he could see different futures in his mind.
Seeing a fate in which they fought that Celestial and managed to stop the fight because of an artifact, Minos avoided showing his powers by already approaching the alien with the silver necklace they had obtained earlier in his hands.
"Senior, I know you're watching me and paying attention to my group. We're not here with malicious interests against your people. We're looking for something and we're willing to exchange this necklace in my hands for information that will lead us to what we're looking for."
The Celestial immediately shifted his gaze as he understood what the silver necklace in Minos' hands was all about, pausing to consider whether to make a deal with these strangers.
One way or another, Minos and his group had already noticed his people, and it wouldn't change anything to hear what these travelers wanted before he made up his mind. He then asked. "What are you looking for?"
