Global Game: AFK In The Zombie Apocalypse Game
Chapter 2586: CommunicationIt was incredibly strange.
How could a human enter the death realm?
Such a thing had never happened before, nor had he ever heard of it. The passage for humans to enter the death realm was theoretically completely sealed, and the aura of the death realm alone would be enough to overwhelm any human who somehow found their way in.
Yet, this human before him seemed entirely unusual.
He appeared completely unaffected by the aura of the death realm.
The two Dark Clan members who had been driven back by Fang Heng stood up and approached Kotal, speaking in a language Fang Heng couldn’t understand.
After listening, Kotal turned back to Fang Heng and shook his head, “Human, the death realm is not a place for you. This is where our Dark Clan has always lived. State your purpose.”
Fang Heng furrowed his brows and pointed toward the mountains behind Kotal, “I mean no conflict with you. I simply sensed something and wanted to take a look in the mountains behind you.”
Kotal paused for a moment, considering his words.“I don’t know how you found this place, and I’m not interested in knowing. Our clan has always protected and cultivated the Dragon Grave Mountain range. Our ancestors established many rules, but none prohibit humans from entering.”
“So, you can indeed enter the mountains to seek what you’re looking for. But remember, do not disrupt the Dragon Grave Mountain range in any way,” Kotal said, pausing briefly before continuing. “If I discover you causing any damage to the mountains, we will make you pay the price, no matter the cost.”
Fang Heng studied Kotal closely, sensing something odd about him.
“What’s so special about this mountain range?”
“You don’t know? Then what do you plan to do on the mountain?”
Kotal’s eyes revealed more confusion as he shook his head. “Forget it. I’m not interested in your affairs. Here’s some advice: if you don’t find what you’re looking for, don’t force it. Leave as soon as possible. After all, this is the death realm, which is not suitable for you humans.”
Fang Heng wanted to ask more questions, but Kotal waved his hand and led the other Dark Clan members away, gradually disappearing into another patch of gray fog.
What the hell…
So strange.
Fang Heng inwardly complained. After finally finding a Dark Clan member he could communicate with, he had a lot of questions, but they just exchanged a few words and left.
Thinking it best to avoid trouble since he was new here, he decided to enter the mountains and check things out.
The entire mountain range was shrouded in thick mist.
As he ventured deeper into the mountainous area, Fang Heng realized that the entire range was composed of accumulated bones.
Beneath the undead rot, there were nothing but stark white bones!
He could even perceive that the owners of these bones must have been quite powerful in life.
And that coercive pressure…
It emanated from this mountain range.
Dragon Grave Mountain.
Fang Heng suddenly recalled the name mentioned by the Dark Clan, and his pupils constricted.
Could it be…
The undead Bone Dragon?!
The next moment, a powerful wave of coercion swept through the air!
Fang Heng looked up to see a massive skeletal dragon soaring overhead.
So it really is a Bone Dragon!
No wonder!
According to the teachings of necromancy, the Bone Dragon is the most powerful creature among known undead summons—without exception!
It made sense why he felt such pressure upon entering the mountain range.
However, his purpose here wasn’t to encounter a Bone Dragon but to find the remnants of Empress Persephone’s will.
Her essence was still deeper within the mountains.
Fang Heng continued forward, following the sensation, until he was about to step into a deeper area of the mountain range, when he suddenly halted.
The Bone Dragon!
He saw it coiled at the edge of a nearby low peak, seemingly resting.
In addition to the Bone Dragon, he noticed several Dark Clan members lingering nearby.
These Dark Clan members…
Fang Heng turned, quickly scanning the group.
They were watching the Bone Dragon intently, and some were even with their eyes closed, enveloped in a faint aura of mental strength, as if casting some undead spells.
“Excuse me, everyone. I’m new here and didn’t mean to intrude. Are you all here for the Bone Dragon?”
As soon as he spoke, the Dark Clan members turned their gaze toward him, but none responded.
What’s going on?
No one’s speaking?
Fang Heng could sense the wariness in their eyes.
“Don’t bother trying to communicate with them. They don’t understand your language, and as a human, you’re nothing but an outsider here.”
Startled, Fang Heng turned towards the source of the voice. He saw an elderly man slumped against a pile of bones, looking extremely fatigued.
“Who are you?”
“Sirius, the War Judge of Empress Persephone. I’ve seen you before in her mausoleum.” Sirius focused on Fang Heng, regaining some of his spirit. “You’ve made it here because you sensed the remnants of the Empress’s will, haven’t you?”
So he was an old subordinate of the Empress. Fang Heng nodded lightly. “How can you understand me?”
“After the Empress took control of the death realm, she harnessed its power, reestablished order, and increased the number of Death Gods, allowing souls from other worlds to return to the Abyss of Despair. This greatly enhanced the strength of the death realm.”
“However, there are always worlds that resist the death realm’s reclamation of souls.”
“Ordinary Death Gods cannot capture souls. Over time, as the War Judge, I would lead the armies of the death realm into those worlds.”
“Eventually, I learned the languages of the outside world, and the power of the death realm inadvertently leaked out. Otherwise, how do you think necromancy developed so rapidly?”
Sirius regarded Fang Heng with a faint smile, “The Empress was right; humans possess an extraordinary talent for integrating various disciplines.”
“Well, our time is limited.”
Sirius looked at Fang Heng and said, “You must have felt it too. As the power of the ice crystal in your sea of consciousness gradually dissipates, our strength diminishes quickly. To slow this decline, the only thing we can do is find the Empress’s will again.”
Fang Heng followed Sirius’s gaze toward the depths of the mountain range.
The area deeper in was shrouded in thick white mist, making it impossible to see clearly.
“What is this place? Where did these Dark Clan members come from? Are they also here looking for the remnants of the Empress’s will?”
“No, no. This is Dragon Grave Mountain, the birthplace of Bone Dragons.”
Sirius shook his head as he explained, “The Dark Clan you see gathered here are all trying to recruit Bone Dragons.”
