A sparkle burst across Sylas’ body. His Will danced like a glass flame of green, looking gorgeous beneath the resplendent light of the Glass Fortress around him.

A Throne of Glass… I choose for it to reflect myself…’
Like holding up a mirror to his face, Sylas stared dead at the man that looked back at him.
Beaten and bloodied, the only part of his reflection that didn’t seem to be on its last legs were his eyes themselves. They stared ahead, unmoved and frighteningly cold.
He had chosen the path the Glass Pinecone certainly wouldn’t have. If he was correct, it would have definitely chosen the path of strife and grief, where the reflections of those that had come before him bore the weight of the Throne beneath him.
However, Sylas wasn’t that sort of person. He didn’t need external motivation to grind forward. His own worst critic was himself, and no one motivated him more than, well… himself.
Sylas still didn’t quite understand how a Path of the Mancer could possibly have so many complexities tacked onto it. It didn’t feel like a normal Path of the Mancer at all, or maybe there was something that he was missing here.
However…
It didn’t matter to him. Not for now.
With shaky steps, Sylas walked to the corpse of the Glass Monkey and pressed a hand onto it.

Sylas felt all the wounds on his body quickly mending themselves. As his body was being reformed, the almost glass-like, shimmering look in his eyes not only solidified, but it carried itself forward into his soul.
In the depths of his eyes, the image of the Mancer’s Blossom tree dancing in the wind appeared. Runes began to naturally form around Sylas as though blessing him with their presence of their own volition.
These were all Glass Runes, but what was most surprising was that although they were only about 20 Foundations at best… each and every one was drawn to 40% Mastery even without much input on Sylas’ part, crossing the threshold of Breath Mastery.
‘This should be <Glass Prism Arts>…’
Unlike his other Classes, Throne of Glass Heir only gave him two Skills. Or, more accurately, one Gene Class Form and one Gene Skill. But it was clear that this Gene Class Form was truly special.
Sylas waved a hand and shards of Glass solidified in the air, forming sharp daggers that practically vanished within the sunlight.
This was the ability of <Glass Prism Art>. Even without his Rune Mastery, it allowed him to act as though he was a Rune Master, forging Glass Runes as though they came as easy to him as breathing.
Each one of these constructs had 1000 Defense. Meaning, they could hold up against 1000 Attack, and likewise, so long as Sylas could manage it, he could use them to deal 1000 Damage before they collapsed.
Normally, these weapons would either have to be grown out of the ground and use it as an anchor to pierce toward an opponent, or they would have to be used like the Glass Monkey used them: as an extension of the body.
But with Sylas’ telekinesis, he could both use those methods and just directly use them as projectiles.
In addition, this 1000 Defense limit was only for Fragmented Mastery!
What was most shocking about this Gene Class Form was that… it used no Aether at all! It relied on Wisdom to trigger the Skill and control it. Nothing more.
It was like Sylas had gained the ability to freely spawn weapons and defenses as he pleased.
But this was hardly the best part. Ignoring the fact that he had gained a warp-type Skill that he could finally use without a Race limitation, if he stacked his Rune Mastery onto <Glass Prism Art>, how much more powerful would it become?
He had the natural ability to form these Runes at 40% Mastery… surely he could do better with his Rune Essence Comprehension!
